Blog Tour: Review of If I Ever Fall by Sonya Loveday & Giveaway

It’s been a while since I’ve read a book. Now don’t get me wrong, I still read a lot but it’s mostly beta reads, and for editing. As much as I enjoy helping out my friends by beta reading, it also takes a lot to do it. You read it in a different way. So sitting down to read If Ever I Fall was a wonderful experience, I could read it from A to Z and remembered how fun it was to get lost in a book again.
There's a giveaway aaaaallll the way down, one copy of If I Ever Fall is up for grabs :-)

I’ll try and leave out spoilers from previous books as well.

If Ever I Fall is Aiden’s story. After everything that happened, Robert de Fleur is on Cole Enterprises' shit list.
Aiden, Greg and Nadia have set up an undercover office under a church in Scotland. Why? Well, de Fleur’s only family lives there.
Aiden’s mission is to get closer to the family without giving himself away. The best solution? Get a job in the Grounded Bean, Brenda’s (De Fleur’s sister) coffee shop.
Everything is going quietly right until Aiden, Maggie’s niece shows up. She’s home after been traveling for a while and with her all kinds of trouble follows.
Aiden now have to fight against the emotions Airen is awakening inside of him and his will to finish the mission he’s on.
In this book we also meet our old friends; Ace, Oliver, Eli, Josh, Grant and Nadia. Seeing some of the Six again is always wonderful, even though their comeback in this one is brief compared to The End Note.

Cover Reveal: If Ever I Fall (The Six Series Book #3) by Sonya Loveday

Hi Everyone!!!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Mine was filled with the usual; laundry, kids, baking ;-) Only four more days to go before my hubby comes back from Romania, and I can't wait!! He's been gone since April 8!

Anyways, I'm here today because I wanted to show you something pretty, shiny and awesome.
As you might know, I love Sonya Loveday's writing, she is absolutely amazing and can always catch me off guard. Not to forget she always makes me forget everything else around me. ;-)

The Summer I Fell was an emotional rollercoaster to me, and I cursed at Sonya for ages because of it. She really did a number on me with that one. The End Note was amazing and tied up things from The Summer I Fell, so there were stuff that suddenly made more sense. I still cursed at Sonya - but she's used to it by now. *grins*

Release Day Review: Spelled (Casted #2) by Sonya Loveday

Today it's Release day for the much anticipated sequel to Casted by Sonya Loveday. Casted was an amazing read, and I know you will all enjoy Spelled as well. Make sure to drop by Sonya and wish her a Happy Release Day, or even better - go by her FB Party TODAY. Have fun, and make sure to send her a hug from me!

Spelled is the sequel to Casted (and you all know how much I LOVE Casted!!) I am indeed a VERY lucky girl in so many ways, one of them being a beta reader for Sonya – which means I got to read this very, very, VERY early!!! *evil grin*

I was nervous about reading Spelled, because when Casted was that good – how could she make a sequel that would live up to the emotional wreck from the first one? Never fear my friends. Although Spelled isn’t the same emotional rollercoaster as Casted, it is absolutely PACKED with secrets, revelations, mayhem, magic and mystery.

Release Day Interview: Sonya Loveday, author of Casted

Today I am MORE than happy to introduce Sonya Loveday for you. Her Expanded version of Casted is now live, and if you want to know my thoughts - stop by my previous post. Right now, let me show you what happens in Sonya's life:

Release Day Review: Casted Expanded by Sonya Loveday

Jade has been on the run her entire life. She can’t remember her parents, other than she knows they’re dead. She doesn’t even know WHO is hunting her, other than they’re willing to hurt her – badly.

After many years on the run, Jade runs into Jessa and Rainy, who takes Jade under their wings, protecting her. By doing so, they also drag Jade into the magical world. Or maybe it would be more correct to say, they drag her back into the magical world.

Goodbye to 2013, Hello to 2014 (Giveaway)

CLOSED
Today it’s the first day in a new year. And time for me to look back at 2013, saying goodbye to the past year, and embrace the new one.

So, what happened blog wise for me in 2013? A lot actually. I left Dangerous Romance in August, and started my own blog – the one you’re at right now. I learned a lot from Laurie, and we’re still friends, but it was time for me to move on, to try my own wings.
The amazing design I have now is due to Ren from R&R Designs. I love it, and was VERY excited to have it up and running before December.
Another friend helped me start Sabina’s Adventures In Reading; Penny from The Library at the END of the Universe, she even made the initial design for me. Not to mention all the times she listened to me when I was asking how I did this or that, since I wasn't used to working with Blogger. Or when I needed a shoulder to lean on in general. Thank you My Dear for being there for me, even when you where going through your own personal hell.

Book Review: Casted by Sonya Loveday

Blurb:

“My mind absorbed everything in the spell book I clutched tightly to me. Pages ruffled inside of my head, urging me to remember things and then to forget them. Voices chanted with tempo rising at the breaking points of pain until the book vanished and words to an ancient spell scribed across my arms. Each stroke brought blood to the surface, imprinting words I could not read; words that would forever change who I was.”

Jade had spent the majority of her life running from the Triad. A powerful group, who would stop at nothing to obtain Jade and the missing spell book for leader, Lorenzo’s, nefarious plans. And now that she has absorbed the highly coveted magic contained inside the missing book, there is nowhere left for her to hide.

With the help of her friends, Jade steps out from the shadows and learns how to fight back. But no one is prepared for Elinor-the woman bound inside of the book that’s trapped in Jade’s mind. Now she not only needs to protect herself from the Triad, but from what’s hiding inside her mind as well.

Jade never expected the answer to it all would revolve around love.

Edge is dark, mysterious, and a sworn member of the Triad. He also hides a secret past that threatens the thin line he walks between good and evil. Lives are at stake when Jade and Edge’s two worlds collide. Can Jade learn to trust him when he says he is her pre-ordained and vows to do everything he can to protect her? But more importantly, can she trust herself and the woman in her mind?

My thoughts:

With a blurb like this (not to forget the amazing cover!), how could I turn down the chance of receiving a copy from Sonya? Let me tell you how my reading went….
Started reading late night and had to stop after only 10% done. It had been a long day, and I had my youngest home that day, due to some fever. So I was tired, but needed something to take my mind off things – and decided to start reading Casted. Turned out it was EXACTLY the kind of distraction I needed.
Next day: two kids home sick, which all parents out there know means running around the house making sure everyone get what they need, leaving little to no time left for much else. Right up to the point when lunch was closing in. Both my kids wanted pancakes – and seriously, so did I. I decided it would be an excellent time to try out my multi-tasking skills, and ran for the kitchen with my kindle.
The result? Most of the pancakes were perfectly made, a few slightly crispy – more than intentional. LOL But damn, I just couldn’t put Casted down. When the kids finally got tucked in, I turned right back to Casted and read until late night. My eyes were crossing, my head hurt, and I was soo tired, but it was worth every second.
I can’t possible explain to you how much I love this book. To follow Jade from being a timid, scared girl, to a woman who will stand down for nothing, who will fight to her death for her friends and loved ones. See how she tries to work and tame her magic, to control it, her desperation of being linked with Elinor (the woman in the book), her fear and anger towards the Triad for what they have done to her family, to herself and to countless others – all to get their hand on a book. And honestly, that book is…well, it’s creepy. Not only is Elinor bound inside the book, but some of the spells inside its pages….Phew… If they got in the wrong hands, they could cause more than havoc!
I enjoyed the connection between Edge and Jade, and the fact that he gave her space enough so she could try and understand what was going on between them, come to terms with a lot of the things going on around her. See, Jade didn’t know she was a witch. At all. Her mother bound her powers to protect her, which was all good and well, but things like that usually backfires.
The ending is a bit of a cliffhanger, and I will be waiting “patiently” to read the second book, once Sonya is done with it – AFTER she’s done with her SUPER SECRET project (which I don’t know a thing about *cough, cough*).
Sonya creates a tale that draws you in and ensnares you without you even realizing it. Her writing style is captivating (yup – so make sure you’re loaded with everything you need in reach), complex with new twists around the corner (so don’t feel safe reading Casted) and is pure magic.
Seriously, if you’re looking for a captive story about witches, determination, stubbornness, magic, love, action, battle between good and bad (with all kinds of grey), interesting characters and fetching storyline – don’t look any further. Casted will certainly give you everything you’re looking for – and much, much more! And to tell you the truth… I can’t believe this is Sonya’s FIRST book. It is insanely good!!!
About Sonya:

Sonya Loveday, first and foremost is a reader, an avid one. It is of that love that brought her to the realization that this was the answer to the nagging persistent feeling that ‘there’s got to be something more’.
The dream came alive in 2009 when she purchased her laptop and began the tedious step of becoming a published author.
When she’s not reading, she’s writing. When she’s not writing, she’s reading. And when she’s not doing either of those things she’s sleeping, shuttling her children back and forth to school, letting the dogs and cats in and out of the house for the umpteenth time in the last hour and dreaming of a clean house.

Author Take Over: Sonya Loveday

Hello everyone! So it’s my day to take over…..muwahahaha!

First and foremost I’m a reader, an avid one. It is of that love that brought me to the realization that this was the answer to the nagging persistent feeling that ‘there’s got to be something more’.

The dream came alive in 2009 when I purchased my laptop and began the tedious step of becoming a published author.

When I’m not reading, I’m writing. When I’m not writing, I’m reading. And when I’m not doing either of those things I’m sleeping, shuttling my children back and forth to school, letting the dogs and cats in and out of the house for the umpteenth time in the last hour and dreaming of a clean house.

You can find me on Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads and Wordpress on the links below:

A few fun facts about me:

I LOVE coffee! My favorite is Kona….pure Kona. Unfortunately, the brand I used to get (Tully’s) is no longer made. Me and my Keurig are very upset.

Don’t talk to me before my first cup of coffee…seriously, I can’t form a complete sentence and you’ll end up getting a dirty look while I grumble my way to the coffee pot.

I’m a night owl….I will stay up to read and then fight to stay awake in the morning. By now you’d think I would have learned by doing that-that mornings are not magical!

My favorite season is fall….I miss New England in the fall. The crisp air, the colors changing, leaves falling to the ground *sigh* and now I’m homesick.

I don’t listen to music when I write. Weird, I know, because I love music. But it’s distracting and I find myself paying more attention to the music and then I don’t get anything done.

I suck at getting my picture taken….for years I’ve hid behind the camera so I have a hard time not looking like a complete ass when I smile. It took like twenty plus pictures to get the above one right :/

I just published my debut novel Casted on July 30th and it still feels a little surreal to me at this point that I’ve actually published a book.
