Heroes
& Villains by Zoe Adams
Katie and Frankie are enemies. Have
been since the start of university, and nothing will change that. Nothing.
When the prospect of a costume party is thrown into the mix, it's the opportune moment for Katie to showcase her true nature. Enter into the mix a charismatic young man, dressed to match her own theme, things become very interesting for the young virgin.

I truly enjoyed Heroes & Villains.
Katie is this little “geek”, the quiet girl who loves computer games and
cartoons. She really don’t care about the social life, and she really doesn’t
like one of her classmates; Frankie. Frankie is in a way the very opposite of
Katie; popular, sleeps around, and a jerk.
Add a costume party with a superhero/villain
theme, and this lass is ready to go ALL the way!
Cute, well written story. Great ending! The
whole idea with the costume party is a funny twist, and one I enjoyed. I loved
every page, and it is definitely NOT the last time I read something by Zoe.
Zoe is a 21 yr old graduate from BA (Hons) Professional Writing.
Finding inspiration from a multitude of sources, such as music and foreign cultures, she enjoys writing a multitude of genres such as: crime, erotica, fantasy, horror, paranormal, science fiction and YA lit. A
lot of Pride and some Prejudice by Petronela Ungureanu
On the verge of losing her home and
her position in society, Miss Portia Thorpe is fighting all her battles with
her very heart. When Lord Salisbury is offering his friendship and support, she
develops a most unsuitable inclination towards him. Surrounded by uncertainty
and some very strange events, Portia must face the future where her estate,
Valhalla, lost at poker by her father, gets a new mysterious owner. Will she
manage to find her place in the new order of things? Will she accept an
unexpected marriage proposal, just to save her home? With some pride, a little
prejudice and all the courage in the world, she will eventually find a
solution.
Oy, where to start?
Have you read or seen the book/movie(s)
Pride & Prejudice? If you loved that one, you’ll definitely enjoy
Petronela’s story.
A lot of Pride and Prejudice is a story
about Portia who is faced with the worse choice in her life. Her father has
gambled everything away, and they’re about to lose the mansion Valhalla, their
home. IF Portia wants to keep it, she has to marry a wealthy man, and her
father has found just the perfect one…. Except… Portia really don’t want to.
She hates the idea of losing her only home, but she hates the thought of
marrying someone she doesn’t love even more. Especially after meeting her
fiancé’s brother.
I love the setup in this story. Petronela
has created a beautiful and tragic tale that ensnares you and refuses to let
go. I found myself reading faster and faster to see what happened.
There are so many surprises in A lot of
Pride and Some Prejudice, it was a delight to read. And no… I won’t tell you
about it. Nope. But every twist, every mystery and surprise is a delight to
read. As always Petronela writes an amazing story that grabs you, drags you in
and makes you feel connected with the persons.
I love elves, fairies and writing about them. I have just published my very first short story on Amazon and I am deliriously happy :). It is called "Lost in the Seven Worlds" and it is a magical romance :).

Magick
Weaved on a Samhain Eve by V.J. Chrisholm
Alexia is a lively, single, sassy and sexy coven witch, somehow she
finds herself and her sex life ( or lack of it) the hot topic of her fellow
coven sisters after one of her covens full moon meetings. Add the mix the
discovery of an old spell. Alexia's life starts to change very quickly from the
moment that a spirit named Lance appears and comes into her life. Throw in the
heat of the full moon and a hint of destiny, life will never be the same again
for Alexia.
Oh wow. What an amazing, sweet story. Loved
every page of it!
Alexia is in a “little” dry spell at the
moment… Well, to tell the truth, it’s more than just a little, bordering on
years. And like many other of her single coven sisters, she feels the loss. One
of her sisters digs through the Head Priestesses collection of books and find a
solution; a spell that will weaken the veil to the spirit world, but it can
only be done on Samhain Eve (Halloween).
What awaits Alexia once the spell is put in
place is certainly NOT what she was expecting, and it turns her world upside
down.
Loved, loved everything in this short
story. Seriously, it was wonderful to read, spiced with love and hope, and in a
way, I was sad to close the book. The world that Chrisholm has created is full
of potential, and I’m looking forward to reading more from her. It is always a
pleasure when an author can pluck you from your own world and set you down into
their own and make you forget everything for a while.
