Consequences takes place a couple of months after Red, Nate is happy with Tess,
and wants to bury the past. Unfortunately, even our darkest secrets will come
forth at some point. Nate knew he did something unforgiveable when he took Sebille’s
life. But he didn’t have a choice; it was either Red or her, and damn it if he
would lose Red now that he finally was in her life again.
Trouble is….it’s
not the first time he broken the Reaper rules to protect Tess, and most likely
won’t be the last either. Does he regret it? No. Would he do it again? In a
heartbeat. But he does fear the consequences of his actions, mainly because he
knows Tess won’t let him go to judgment without a fight. She may not have told
him, but he KNOWS she loves him. When he sees an old enemy among the judges, Nate
knows that the verdict will be more than harsh this time.

Consequences is the story of Nate’s judgment, and what happened when the Reaper
Judges came to collect Nate’s debt. When one of the judges; Demetrius shows up
and starts taunting Nate, he knows this is beyond him just breaking the rules
to safe Tess. This is personal.

Hand on my
heart, I could get lost into the beautiful and rough tales that Kate writes.
You get drawn into the story, you lose your way and when you’re at the last
page and closes the book, you want to go back to the beginning and read it one
more time – just to stay a little longer.
I just
recently started to dig into the Transplanted Tales, but I am hooked, heart, mind
and soul. Grimm Consequences starts digging further into Nate’s secrets, and
who he truly is –or maybe I should say WAS. After meeting Tess all those years
ago, he changed. She is the reason why he became a Reaper for the Tales, she is
his lifeline into the Ordinary world, his biggest weak spot and his great love.
This book shows exactly what lengths Nate are willing to go to keep Tess safe.
I loved every page of it.
