Book Tour: Fairy in the Flesh by Katalina Leon

What if you were given a unique opportunity to go back in time, to meet a person you have admired most of your life? A person who has inspired you?

What if this person turns out to be your soul mate, and you his muse? And knowing you only allowed to stay for a very short while. Would you give in and enjoy the moment, or stay in a safe distance, knowing you HAVE to go home, leaving your love behind in another time, without the possibility to meet again?

This is what happens for Maya. She goes back to 1903, back to when the painter André Bosco lived. Bosco is THE inspiration for Maya and her art. She even went for a vacation away from her home in the states to see if she could find where he used to live in Avignon. Arriving and unsuccessfully trying to find his place, she feels lost and more alone than usually.

By chance she steps into a small café where Miss Ruby is. Miss Ruby is… someone special, and after drinking some Absinthe (supposedly owned by André a long time ago), Maya feels strange, and after Miss Ruby leaves, Maya steals the key to André’s studio – she just want to take a peak. The second she opens the door to the studio, Maya is removed from her own time and tossed straight into 1903.

I have to tell you, this was an amazing read. The beforehand doomed relationship between André and Maya was intense to read, devastating sometimes, because they both fell so swiftly and hard for each other. The steamy scenes are well done, makes your toes curl, and the intensity is wonderful. My heart was breaking for Maya and André, because how would they ever get their Happily Ever After? Would a few days together suffice for both of them? The closer I got to the end, the more devastated I was, and the faster I read.

Fairy in the Flesh is a steamy, sweet and wonderful quick read. When closing the book, I wanted to know more. (And no, I won’t tell you about the ending!) Loved this short story, and definitely not the last book I want to read by Katalina!
