Author Take Over: Mariana Thorn, author of Slice & Dice and Seizing Darkness

Hello again! I've managed to hogtie Sabina again and put her in a secret location. I wanted to take over to tell you all about what's happening in my world. As some of you know I'm Mariana Thorn, author of dark fantasy and quirky mysteries.

If you haven't picked up Seizing Darkness, my Dark Fantasy, now is the time to do it. The sequel, Seizing Shadows, is coming out on November 8th and is EPIC. You have to read the first though so go grab it. I have a sale on it coming up on September 16th. I can't wait until it comes out.

Here's a little bit about Seizing Shadows:
It centers around Kalypso aka Kali. She is a long time friend of Valdimir. This story starts about Chapter 20 of Seizing Darkness. It tells the other side of what's going on. There is more than you can even imagine. Warning you will need a box of tissues.

Now for my other series the Skylar Wolfe Mysteries. If you haven't picked up the first do, it's hilarious. These are snarky short mysteries. You can read them while waiting in a doctor's office or something like that. They are perfect. Now the first Slice & Dice is out and awesome. The second, Hide & Seek, has been moved up. It comes out on November 18th. Isn't that AWESOME!

Here's a little about Hide & Seek:
It starts with Skylar in a bar fight. Then Skylar's miffed about Aiden ditching the moviethon so she storms into his office. She ends up with a missing person's case. Just what she needed. Come join their crazy adventure.

Oh no Sabina's escaped! I better run I have a bunch of writing to do. See you all next time!

If you look in the local coffee shop or bookstore you might just find Mariana Thorn. She can usually be found with headphones in and deep into the worlds she has created.
She is the author of Dark Fantasies and Snarky Mysteries. Her current works includes two main series. The full length, Seizing Darkness, is the first of the Fur, Fangs, and Fairies, dark fantasy. Slice & Dice is the first of her short story series Skylar Wolfe Mysteries.  Both series have sequels coming out in November 2014. There are currently four anthologies with her work in them as well.
When Mariana isn't writing, she's riding horses, playing with her dog. or hanging out with friends. She currently lives in Western Washington, but loves to travel to Florida and sit on the beach.

With her past distant and forgotten Natalya has built herself a nice life. She has a job she finds rewarding as a special agent with the Paranormal Investigation Bureau. Her partner, Dante, isn’t too bad for a bloodsucking vampire. Val, her boss, is like a father to her. Her favorite part is that she lives near the Cascade Mountains. Whenever she needs a little vacation, she can shift into a tiger and go running in the woods. Life is good.

That is until recently. Agents are turning up dead and she can’t pin down what is going on. Little does she know that her past is about to come back and bite her in the tail. With no memories before the last year she is a little behind the curve in finding out what is going on. The investigation turns dangerous as the attack turn personal. Lives are on the line, including her own. Will Natalya find out what is going on before it’s too late?

“Nothing good ever happens before ten in the morning.” ~Skylar Wolfe
Skylar Wolfe is far from your average PI. Full of snark with purple hair and a quick tongue with no filter from her brain to her mouth, trouble always seems to find her and she always drags her cousin Levi along for the ride.
But this last bit of trouble she seems to have fallen into is the deadly variety. There’s a corpse at her door (no really, I’m completely serious) with her name all over it. It seems she has pissed off the wrong person. Being Skylar, the list could be a little long. She teams up with Norcrest’s new delicious lead detective, Aiden Livingston and then leads the hunt to find the person responsible.
